Pod Night
Privacy policy
Last updated October 23, 2026
Pod Night is a life counter for card game nights, made by Mike Buonaspina (New York, USA). We built it to collect nothing about you.
- We do not collect any data. The app has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it doesn't send anything to a server of ours.
- Your decks and games stay on your iPad. Player names, decks, cheat sheets and the game-night record are saved on the iPad only, and the app keeps a copy in its own storage on the same iPad. Backups you save go wherever you choose (for example Files or iCloud Drive). Deleting the app deletes its data.
- Phones talk to the iPad directly. When a phone joins by QR code, it connects to the iPad over your local Wi-Fi network. Nothing passes through us. This is why the app asks for Local Network access.
- Card lookups go to Scryfall. To show card pictures and text, the iPad and joined phones request them from the public Scryfall service (scryfall.com). Those requests include the card names being looked up and, as with any web request, your device's internet address. Scryfall's own privacy policy applies to those requests. We receive nothing from them.
- Tips are handled by Apple. If you leave a tip, Apple processes the payment under Apple's privacy policy. We never see your payment details or your Apple Account.
- Children. Pod Night is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
